- Collection, treatment and evaluation of data which concern the social situation of the women in Cyprus.
- Collection, treatment and evaluation of data which concern the employment and the salaries of the women in Cyprus.
- Classification and comparison with international data, in cooperation with the respective observatories or bodies from abroad, and particularly of the European Industrial Relations Observatory (Dublin) and the Research Centre for Equality Issues – RCIE (Athens).
- Conducting of surveys, elaboration of research etc. which concern the gender gap in the workplace, social exclusion, women immigrants, refugees and widely the female population of “vulnerable” social groups.
- Support of women who suffer abuse, marginalization and social exclusion.
- Systematic monitoring of problems of inclusion/reinclusion, application and evolution in the workplace and the consequent discrimination against working women which are due to the non application of the Laws, which concern equality or the absence of such a legislation in close cooperation with all the competent bodies and social partners.
- Visits in places of work and informing the employees for equality issues of the genders.
- Informing/ awareness raising of public opinion regarding equality issues and relevant legislation, through the Mass Media.
- Cooperating with Municipal Councils and Community Authorities to inform men and women regarding equality issues.
- Creation of district women’s cores.
- The participation of seminars/conferences in Cyprus and abroad.
- Development of electronic data base which shall include the following:
- Regular informative articles.
- Comparative reports.
- Thematic and sectoral analyses from a gender perspective
- Connection with other electronic sources for labour and gender related issues.
- Creation of an Information Office for women regarding issues of promoting them in the Labour Market.
- Connection of the Office with the Public Service Employment in Cyprus.
- Equipment of the Cyprus Trade Union Movement with data and proposals, which will point out the existing deficits regarding the Equality of the Genders in the Labour Market and especially in labour relations and thus the Trade Union Movement can fight to cover the gaps .
- Development and the rendering of accompanying – advisory services of encouragement and strengthening of the women “vulnerable” social groups with the operation of an advisory employment unit.
- Connection with bodies which offer social services to women.
- Operation in the framework of the Observatory of free courses of study and further education of the women in Gender Studies in cooperation with the University of Cyprus, RCEI, the University of Athens and others.
- Monitoring of the application of the Laws and bringing charges to the competent Government Departments or to European services.
- Immediate charge of violation and discreet treatment of women in the Labour Market and the Cyprus society in general.
- Undertaking and utilization of various relevant projects in cooperation with bodies in Cyprus, in Greece and abroad in the framework of European Programmes and Initiatives.
